Catch 1 Billion Ducks — Classes Guide

Classes Guide

The August 23, 2026 Classes update added four playable classes to Catch 1 Billion Ducks. Each class comes with two unique abilities, and picking the right one changes how you handle flocks, bosses and your dogs.

All four classes and their abilities

Engineer

  • Deployable Turret — a turret that automatically shoots ducks for you while you keep hunting or reposition.
  • Barricade — extra protection against charging ducks and boss attacks.

Best for players who like a “set up and let it work” playstyle, or who keep losing HP to aggressive ducks.

Military Soldier

  • Lock In — frenzy mode that increases attack and reload speed for a burst window.
  • Grenade — an explosive that destroys huge flocks of ducks at once.

The most aggressive class — pair Lock In with a fast automatic (like the M4) and Grenades with flock events for maximum feathers per minute.

Pyromancer

  • Fire Bullets — sets ducks on fire for damage over time.
  • Fireball — throws a huge fireball into the flock.

Great crowd control: the burn keeps killing while you aim elsewhere, and Fireball clears dense groups without precise aim.

Hunter

  • Duck Decoy — baits more ducks to your position and can spawn rare ducks on lucky rolls.
  • Dog Whistle — increases your dogs’ speed so hauls reach the freezer faster.

The economy class — best if you care about value per run rather than raw damage. Rare-duck rolls synergize with the ultra-rare species added in the same update (Doodle Duck, Impostor Duck).

Which class should you pick first?

There is no confirmed unlock cost or progression gate for classes yet [unverified]. As a starting point:

  1. New players — Hunter is forgiving: more ducks baited + faster dogs = steadier income.
  2. Boss focus — Military Soldier’s Lock In gives the biggest damage burst windows.
  3. AFK-ish farming — Engineer’s turret keeps shooting while you handle other things.
  • New gun: the T3Sl4 Prototype with multi-target elimination VFX (buffed again in the Aug 24 balance pass).
  • Two new ultra-rare duck species: Doodle Duck and Impostor Duck.
  • Two new duck bosses (names not yet documented).
  • Leaderboard reset with Days Survived milestone rewards handed out.
